Just get the NA supra and like you said, turbo it later. No need to rush just have fun with it.Still a sexy car turbo or na. Plus your insurance will be so much cheaper.

I've heard rumors that to replace the NA with a twin turbo 2jz is expensive to the point where you should just look to start with a turbo supra.

This thread is getting infinitely more retarded with every post.

You like the way the NA sounds over turbo? Wow. That's pretty interesting considering you are talking about making the NA into a turbo. It's also even more interesting since you said you didn't even know they made NA Supras. Nobody has ever said that ever.

Do you even have a license? You need to stop watching The Fast and the Furious like right now.

The base model Supra was a secretary car, just like the Nissan 240 & 300 (non turbo), Stealth/3000GT, Mustang, etc. They're heavy, not particularly fast, and have high insurance/theft/vandalism rates because of their faster brothers. If your eventual goal is a turbocharged Supra, here's some advice (say it real slowly to yourself a few dozen times):

Buy a cheap car until you learn how to actually drive, and get a Supra TT when you have the money.

You'll spend less money in the long run and won't be trying to learn how to drive in a sports car (admittedly a neutered sports car).

^i learned to drive in a 92 vette...

yes i have a license, but no car.

i have a job, but it cant cover the insurance on a T or TT supra, the na supra is significantly less.

i was saying i like the sound of the NA one cuz theres no turbo noise. now i do like turbos, but if its loud as hell... its just annoying.

and yes, i diddnt know there were NA supras because i havent had much intrest in them untill about a year or 2 ago, i never bothered to "study" them becuause i wouldent own one for a long time, but a friend told me bout them so i jus did some readin on it. now if you want to bash me, gtfo. dont tell me wat i should get, i wanted a opinon on the NA SUPRA.

If you are buying the car for looks, then get the NA model. If you want performance, shell out the cash for the TT. If you don't like the insurance rate now, then wait and get one later. If you are looking for a car that performs well in anything other than a straight line, stay away from the Supra. I love my Supra. It has the looks, the sound, and is as rare to see on the roads here in Oklahoma as my Evo. But the Evo would kick it's *ss on a track with twisties. I know that Supras can be made to handle better, but why bother. It sticks to the road very well but you always feel like the rear end could break loose at any moment if you push it. The Evo flat out dominates it on steering feel and cornering.
But, if you must have a Supra, then buy mine. I'm going to spend the money I make on my Evo.

^ you dont know how badly i want to buy yours, actually, pm me i know if i were to shell out that much for a car, and if im getting it from here, i wont be getting a POS

but yea, right now its just for looks, i like being unique. a supra would make me different . i do want a car that can perform. but mostly straight line becuase the closest track is a drag strip .
