Is it just me or are these posts getting more and more vague....
The FTO was a Japan only model I believe....
Hence no FTOs here in America, youd have to check the import list to see if they can be cleared for legalization.

Not Japan only as there were Euro FTO's and some in Australia (albeit the Aussie ones could've been gray market sales).

As far as I know, the FTO is an overseas only vehicle. It was never import for the road use in the states.

You can check the NHSTA's web site for the list of vehicle that's legal for the US.

At a car show here and Im pretty positive there was something converted into one of those. I didnt think much about it at the time. I think it was a 3000gt. I dont know how far the conversion was. If it was just looks or engine stuff too. But it looked cool. Had a chamelion paint job.

The FTO was grey imported to the UK for a while and then RalliArt UK provided semi-official versions for a year or so. There were also some exported to Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia.

the 3000gt in Japan is the GTO, NOT the FTO. The FTO is a very different animal.
