So the million dollar question guys: is the GTR 111mph limited? I guess not, apparently the us version is trap speed unlimited..
Does anyone knows if the GTR and Porsche are fitted with run flats? The vette is.

In Summary, it out brakes, out handles, and out prices anything even close. I knew that this car would be good, but dang. 5sec on lap time. That's crazy.

Perhaps you haven't read the whole article, it doesn't out brake the Z06. Also, you don't mention the acceleration figures. Last but not least, try to get a GTR for MSRP. I agree with you on the handling though..

Z06 braking 60-0 111ft
Z06 braking 80-0 189ft
GTR braking 60-0 108ft
GTR braking 80-0 191ft

That's only in Japan. All cars there are limited to 112mph top speed.

I thought the GT-R was supposed to have 6 piston calipers up front?

umm a 1:56 at that track is freaking insane for a box stock car. For refference the NASA TTU record is a 1:55.51 and the TTR record is a 1:54.19. We are talking about pretty much full blown race cars here, zo6 vettes with massive sticky rubber, breaks, etc.

Well, Steve Millen was driving, but yeah, still incredible times! I'm honestly surprised at how much faster it was than the Z06; I figured it WOULD be faster, but just not by THAT MUCH. On a track with more straights, I can see the Z06 making up some of the ground.

It'll be interesting to see what the lighter, more powerful V-spec GTR will do.
