4 door Civic Si. Awesome car for the price and fits all your requirements. It will get 30mpg on the highway.

I always liked the look of the 3. I was thinking of one in white, some nice 17's, a little tint and call it a day.

Kind of leaning that way, I'll have to look into them more. The only problem with the Honda thing is the theft rate. Kind of scares me a bit in my area. I would rather stay out of that ball game.

Yep, I'm in the same boat and have been looking at 07-08 Camary's SE V6 models, Acura TSX's, Honda Accords, and now I want to look at the new G8 by Pontiac.

Yeah 400HP = great gas mileage and RWD 19inch rims = great in the snow. Now exactly what the guys looking for. Sounds like he sold himself on the Mazda 3 to me.

But I'd recommend a Jetta TDI one of the guys here at work has one and it gets over 45MPG every day of the week and you can get snow tires for the winter and sport tires for the summer.

Problem with that is diesel is very expensive, and not always the easiest to come by at times. Going to check out aMini, and a 3 tomorrow I hope.

I do like the new lancer look. The GTS is nice enough, not sure what the mpg is on them and how they are rating. I've been in the Mitsu camp for so long now, might look at trying something else. Lots to think about, no time fame at all so no hurry. Just kicking around some ideas.

As for the Prius, oh HELL NO!

I have been paying over $4 gallon here in so cal for the last 2 weeks for 91 and the 76 right by my house is at 4.25 for 91. I have been considering an economy daily driver. I have thought a civic with leather and nav getting high 20's low 30's might work, I have read that the 09 Corolla has a wire steering and the magazines hated it. Civic si runs on premium and have read to expect low 20's. Mazda 3 and impreza base low 20's. Prius is mid 40's but with the nice option pack they have it msrp's for 29k and they don't seem to deal on that car. Where as the civic and others have special interest rates right now with discounts from msrp. I have not pulled the trigger but am considering it big time. I spend nearly a 1000 in gas this last month between my wife and I. My evo getting the best mpg in the family at 19 (I can't drive it slow) and I live in the mountains.

I have also wondered about a manual accord (still have 07's new around here) or the new 08'.

Would love to hear some others thoughts on options

Last week I purchased an 08 Accord Coupe for 26k in addition to the Evo. It's the four banger with every option minus nav. So far so good I guess but it does cost about 60 bucks to fill up due to the 18 gallon gas tank it has. I've only had to fill her up once thus far and wasn't able to get an accurate reading on the mpg. Needless to say it's a big difference from the Evo, but hey....my girlfriend sure seems to like it
