Same here. I've waited for a US spec GTR longer that I lusted for the VIII. I can wait another year or two if need be. Besides, it could turn out that the car is a ticking time bomb mechanically. A year on the market will wring all the bugs out and we'll know where it's weak points are.
Well Nissan is very well known for over-engineering their cars. For example take the R34 GT-R Z-tune. They used the same motor that has run 24 hrs at Nurburgring (sp?) and is actually undertuned for what it can actually do. Seeing as how the 3.8 in the new GT-R is basically a stroked and re-done VQ I don't really see it being that unreliable. Regardless I'm still one who's all for waiting a year for them to work out all the bugs.
