Replaced my Evo VIII with...

For the past 3 months I've been thinking about replacing my beloved Evo VIII. The car was running perfect, last dyno was at 325AWHP with basic bolt-ons (no cams). Pictures of the car can be seen here:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=233511

I've visited my local Mitsu dealer countless of times waiting for the Evo X MR, but they keep pushing dates over and over, now they say it might get here by the end of July. On the other hand I had other cars in mind as well, for instance a used BMW M5 or Range Rover Sport Supercharged (both low mileage). Today I decided to visit 3 more dealers just to take a look at other cars that I liked: Lexus for the IS-F, BMW for the new M3, and Mercedes Benz for the C63 AMG. My first stop was at Lexus, and I spent so many hours there that I couldn't visit the other 2 dealers. The good thing is that now I'm the proud owner of a brand new IS-F!!! I haven't been able to take pictures yet because it's been raining the whole day, but I found some on Lexus forums that look exactly as my car, so here is how the car looks:

My first reaction was WOW! Even though the car has about 30 miles now, I feel it pulls stronger than my Evo (once you disable traction control and put it in sport mode though). Well, I really enjoyed my Evo but it was time to evolve, comments are welcomed.

The M3 and C63 are on the same league, same price, same performance, etc. It's just a matter of preference. I love japanese cars, they're full of technology. I wasn't really sure about which one to get, but at the end I decided to buy the IS-F because it's a limited edition, and not only sporty look outside but great interior (I like the C63's interior as well, but not the M3).

Now the "auto" tranny on the IS-F is just like the SMG on BMW or the DSG on VW/Audi or the new SST on the MR but faster. It shifts at 0.1 sec, rev-match when downshifting, and on top of that it has 8 speeds! You have to drive it to understand. When I was at the dealer I was hesitant to buy it, but then they allowed me to test drive it and I was sold!

They gave me $18,000 for my Evo, less than what I could get if I sold it privately, but I didn't have the time to sell it on my own and it'd have taken probably months to finally sell it. I went to Carmax days ago trying to see how much they can offer me (telling them that I wanted to trade it in for an M5), and their offer was $15,600. My Evo needed tires desperately so right there I had at least $600 more to spend.

For now the only mod that I'll do is wheels, I won't touch the engine... yet! I'll post pics soon.

It's been raining the whole day, but I managed to take a picture to the engine bay, I'll upload it when I get back home.

I thought about the Audfi RS4, but new it was way too expensive, and used (around 10,000 miles) it was about the same price as a new IS-F. Also I read reviews and watched videos where the IS-F had the edge against the RS4 in every aspect. I'm quite happy with the purchase, all these cars are very close to each other in most areas, so it's just personal preference.

I read about the fake exhaust tips, but I haven't taken a look yet, I'll do it when it's dry outside. This car has 416 HP / 371 lb-ft, not bad at all!!!

Thanks for the comments.
