I've never seen this swap in a civic, how much fabrication was necessary?

Obviously out of the gate the idea seems a bit retarted, being that there are plenty of fast and reliable powerplants from Honda but none the less it is different.

I didn't do it for the power plant, I did it for the awd. This takes a lot of fabrication for it to be done right. I had a lot of $$$ in the swap. The only way I would do one again is if something happened to the evo and I could salvage all the parts I need from it.

Cool cool, that makes more sense. You can also use a beefy version of the RT4wd 88-91 Civic wagon or 97-01 CRV but i'm sure the Mitsu rear end is stronger.

Thought about it but yes the mitsu rear is 10 times stronger, to bad the transmission wasn't. If I built another it would be all Evo stuff this time around so the trans holds the power longer. After we got the breaking up issue fixed, which you can here in the first race in the vid. We upped the boost from where it made 651 at 34psi to 42psi to where it was spinning hard in third. The transmission just wasn't having it. The next one if it happens will be a 92-95vx they weigh under 2,000lbs and with the evo drive train it will break the transmission less.

AWD is the only way to go, I wouldn't build one w/o it!
