Lotus's have never been high hp cars. The original Elise only had a 115hp rover engine and it was an absolute blast to drive.

right. but a 911 C.S. is 355 hp and 3100 lbs. How will this compete in a market with cars just as light and way more powerful. 276 hp is pitiful from that large of a V6. Even the G35 made more HP than that out of the same size engine and I wouldn't expect Infiniti to make a powerful N/A race engine like Porsche and Audi (RS4/R8) do.

the porsche is also about 50% more in price though too.
this will be a quick, agile grand tourer rather than the track ***** that the exige is.

So it will be similarly priced to the Elise? I don't see pricing anywhere.

some of the articles I've read before (regarding the eagle concept) said that the target pricepoint was 60k

WOW, it is about time Lotus finally please the customers with a little bit more of comfort. Number one complaint before was the complete lack of comfort. Yeah, don't tell me the car is meant to be like that because a Evo matches the handling, braking, acelleration but still has comfort.

I give lotus a 9 on performance and style but I take away the credit for not making a car that can efectively do performnace with a minimal of comfort, Lotus has been single out on this matter.. it is about time they make something more practical( comfort but still fast car).

What is the problem? the car is going to be heavier because of leather seats? because of the A/C?, because cruise control or because the airbag?, step upto the plate and add 200cc or tune for a couple of extra lbs of boost guy. That is my point of view. Speaking of which this car is gorgeous!

my .2c

Carlos
