The Lotus Evora was shown for the first time at the 2008 British Motor Show in London today. It was previously code named Project Eagle.

The Evora is built on an all new platform, and will slot in between the smaller Elise/Europa and an upcoming mid engine super car to debut in 2010.

As you can see from the specs, this is more of a daily driver than the track oriented Elise.

• Toyota sourced 3.5 liter V6 with 276hp/252tq
• RWD with rear mid engine 2+2 coupe
• Curb weight 2976lbs
• Six speed manual transmission
• Eibach springs with Bilstein dampers
• 18" wheels front 19" wheels rear
• Alpine multimedia system with 7-inch touch screen, sat-nav, DVD capability, and iPod connectivity

 

that car is hella pimp!!!

 

The only thing I dislike is the rather hefty curb weight, 2975lbs is a bit porky for a Lotus.

Also, no price announcement as of yet, but I bet it will cost at least $60k.

 

Well it's a 4-seater and a V6. Other cars with the same kind of specs are pushing 3200+.

I'd still drive one

thats a nice looking interior! simple and clean

 

nice car but the engine is kind of a joke.

 

imo should have gone with accord engine(best case nsx engine LOL)

 

3.5L V6 should be making more power than that especially in a Lotus.

 

it wont be cheap...
