1995 integra...good noobie car?
If you want something that just feels fast and suits the racer image, by all means get a GSR... Nothing feels quite like a motor screaming at 8000RPM.
Just to let you know though, that car really isn't fast...
And don't ever put off maintanance, they always end up costing you more money down the road.

). i dont wanna look like a ricer, i want some thing that is fun to drive(fun bein the keyword). thats also why i was taking suggestions for other cars and people came up with the 240sx and the MR2. do you have any suggestions for a car that IS fast(not insanly just like "decent" if you will). and as for matienance, i didnt mean actually put it off. i meant if i have a car with a really good engine and tranny and just good overall then it has a less likely chance to break and require mantineace. dont get me wrong, if my car needed repairs i defiantly wouldnt put it off. BTW thanks to everyone for helping me out this far.
That ugly thing has near 50/50 weight distribution, 6 cylinders, LSD, IRS, potential for power, great handling right out of the box, and tons of options such as ABS, a huge sunroof, fog lights, sports heated seats, power everything...
And it can be made to look good.
Well, then again, appearance is strictly a personal preference.
Did I mention it's rear wheel drive?

man it has everything i am looking for but it looks ugly(at least to me). its so...boxish. oh well i guess its still in the runnin seemin as how its options are so good and that it will be my first car. anyways, what is LSD?
Insurance would probably be relatively hefty on an SC300 as would maintenance given it's a tad older and it's a Lexus. I guess it'll all be dependant on what year. I'd be interested in doing up a manual tranny version, but they were only around 'til 95~ if I remember right. Either way, you have a good tuning basis in the 2JZGE off the bat...essentially almost a 2 door IS300.
Ok power from engine, handles alright, but the car is on the heavier side... Are they even available in manual transmission? I'd say it's a good cruiser but if you want something "fast" it'll take a lot of work.
I still say an E30 325iS, it'll smoke an SC300 all day long.

When you say fast do you mean as in 1/4 mile or all around performance? In other words does the car need to turn and handle?
