If only it wasn't a hyundai. Thing has a lot of potential to be a big hit with buyers but for most car enthusiasts, it'll be hard not to think that you own and drive a Hyundai. That thing better make good numbers.

I saw one at the autoshow earlier this year.

There are a couple weird angles on it, but I think that this car is going to be a hit. The turbo 4 is related to the engine in the Evo X and Ralliart.

And yes, Hyundai has been very good for about the last 5 years.

I was in a parking lot walking out of a store and I see this from the front end pulling in.

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/s...genesis-sedan/

First thing I think is wow, a grill debadged s430... Then I realize its a hyundai. From the back it was a cross between a lexus and a bimmer sedan.

Hilarious in that its so difficult to distinguish.

I always thought the old tiburon had beautiful lines.

I wasn't talking about reliability. I'm well aware how Hyundai has stepped up with regards to that. It's more the 'stigma' of driving a Hyundai. They should do what Honda\Nissan\Toyota did with Acura\Infinity\Lexus, create a separate name brand and sell premium cars under it.

That's what they did. They bought Kia. Kia is the ****box and Hyundai is the "upmarket" brand.

"upmarket" in quotations is what I'm getting at. To most, Hyundai still represents cheap, reliable cars. Also, most people don't associate Kia with Hyundai hence they don't see Hyundai as up market Kias. They really need to push for another name brand to market the Genesis coupe and sedan. It may just be a Hyundai with a different badge but it creates a psychological effect on people and isn't Marketing mostly psychological anyway?

People said the same **** when the Supra came out too. Its not gonna matter when drifting has become so popular (with expected growth by 2010) people are gonna buy this thing. I can overlook a lot (including looks/manufacture) if the engine is up for big power.
