So I have owned a 2005 Evo 8 MR Loved it. Sold it so i could get an 06 9 but i havent found one yet. in the mean while i have been. looking around for good bargains dont get me wrong im 75% certain im gona wait for a 9 but i wanted to know what you thought of these cars.

WRX great car fun but aluminum block only capable of so much power. Other thing is they are still expensive used. but there is an option.

Saab 92X aero. its a WRX in every way but saab sheet metal. the plus is that there resale value is way lower then a WRX good for buying bad for selling.

So a friend just picked up a 05 92x aero 35K for 11,900. a 05 WRX with 35K would be $18 + how crazy is that.

Another car is the Ford stang Roush 427R super charged V8 good for 427HP and 400 torque that responds to 357 WHP for a only $26 brand new. Now i dont know the weight but that should result in a high 12 1/4mile right off the lot. Thats a good deal for the price.

Let me know what you guys think about these cars.

Pros cons

I probably rather have a SRT-4 than a weak WRX. You would have to spend mega money to make a WRX fast. Get a 2G GSX and call it a day.

Like I said, if you want to go the WRX or Saab go ahead but remember, it will be a slow ride even after you spend thousands of dollars. I never heard of a Muntang roush 427 supercharger V8 new for only $26

if you go with an 06-07 WRX, you don't need mega money to make it reasonably fast. As an obvious example, I'm buying a brand new VF43 and an STI TMIC for under 1000$ that combined with a TBE and a fuel pump, will put me at stage 2 STI power. Add meth injection and it's a whole new ball game. That being said, a GSX or a Talon would be a better cheap power platform. If you just care about going in a straight line, why not get an older Mustang or Camaro?

What do you want out of the car? if you want a good drag car get a 03/04 Cobra, great price and so much potential, also they are quick out of the box and cheap to make power out of them. all around I'd say get a 9 SE

Whatever you do, don't get a used car. Get a brand new car so you won't have to go through additional stress in the future. Cars I would would save up for would be a BMW 335i sedan, Evo X GSR, Mazdaspeed 3, 08' WRX STi.

if your going to get a mustand get an 03-04 cobra its one of the only mustangs i would ever own besides a notch which i am looking for now so i can put an ls1 in it and make it a real car haha but yea no one would be dissappointed with an 03-04 cobra right out of the box. and they respond to mods very well i have a friend who put down 496hp with a pulley swap cold air intake headers and exhaust and some headwork with a mild tune on 93. no one can complain about the whine of that supercharger haha

if you find one for under 20 its either beat up bad or has 50k + miles a decent one will prolly run you about 25 or 26 thats 427r is junk IMO the 03 04 is way better iv seen a stock one dyno 401 to the wheels...most dyno at about 390 bone stock...but you are right the 9 is your best bet

I think the 427R is at least a 40K car.

I like a 03/04 cobra. I still wouldn't mind trading my car for one of those.

If you already have a DD and want pure performance car for the weekend, there's the new superlite roadster. The car starts at $15,900 as a roller and you throw in whatever 4-cylinder engine you want. I'm using the K20A, but a friend is using the 4G63T. The first picture is a drawing of the finished car. The second and third are pictures of my car.
