I have a question. Have any of you ever seen a CRX with a targa top? My club is rebuilding one and we are at a cross roads. We think we can cut the roof off and make it a targa fully removable roof but no one has ever seen it done! Any input ya'll can provide would be great Thanks.

Right now we have an Si but we have a really good line on an H22and hopefully we are going to get it. Other wise we are just going to blow all of our budget on a nice new Spoon! Lol

 

h22 would render your crx close to un-driveable...the motor is too heavy for the front you'll need some really heavy duty suspension to handle it...i would suggest doing your basic swap or go LS-Vtec/CR-VTEC i've seen targa tops although i haven't seen one for the import scene but i've seen plenty in the Low rider scene targa, soft tops and straight convertible.

 

what year crx u building up? i know the crew im in is building up an 85.. right now its completely gutted

 

We are using a 91. We are just waiting on parts right now before we go any further. Lambo doors are on back order and we are having some problems fabricating the new brace for the hatchback that we reversed. We keep snapping the ones we've made so far. hmm anyway What are ya'll doing to yours?
