Quote: I know on my pewter C5, the slightest toe in and the car is digging, even with light powder.

Maybe I phrased it wrong, but I guess I was referring to the off the line torque.

Worst winter weather car ever, other than stang 5.0, but hey they didnt have blizzards in mind while designing it.

Keep the wheels, vettes are supposed to floss
You know best I have not driven on snow in several years. I do believe that the torque of the 'vette might make it very hard to get going in adverse conditions. And yes, I'm keeping the wheels for sure. The chromies are definitely sharper looking than the stock painted rims.. To each his own, but for me this is not a Honda or Miata or any sort of Japanese or Euro tuner car....

Nice pics! GM really shorten the gap on the Z06 with the new LS3 engine specially when matted with the Z51 package. I once considered buying the regular Vette but I knew I would get tired soon and wanted more (I am not trying to sound arrogant or anything like that).

I am positive you are going to like it, can't argue with 0-60 in 4 sec flat, 191mph and a great power to weighht ratio, just like the Evos is a clear winer on its price category the LS3 vette is also a clear winner on its price range.

Good luck!

I agree.. I just power coated my stock rims to graphite gray and I love it. I am sure it would look killer on that silver C6.

I have not raced either of my C6s. Anyway, I suck at shifting so my times would be 1/2 second slower than a competent driver. One of these days I'll take my to Commerce just for $hits and giggles

According to some people's experience, the LS3 bone stock can run mid 12's in 90 deg temps. The LS2 is probably in the high 12's to low 13's.
With tires the times get better and with bolt-ons they run in the 11's here is a guy with bolt-ons and cam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Vh1xtBWDXo
