Congrats on the purchase!

When driving aggressively how many miles per tank do you usually achieve? How many gallons to fill it back up?

Ive been really debating getting one and the local dealer can do 62 otd... The only thing thats holding me back right now is gas... I'd like to get at least 15mpg average... I know they say its get 18/24? What does it do with an a$$hole behind the wheel?

Cheers!

^^I would put my grain of sand. I got 28.9 mpg in my recent Dallas to Tucson trip (975 miles), I went speed limit on Interstate 20 and Interstate 10. Expect always above 25-26mpg when doing 75-80mph, it does 75mph@1600rpm in 6th gear.

In town is another history, I get around 17-18 mpg but I have to drive very light on the gas. The moment you drive spirited it rapidly goes down to 12mpg or so but the engine is extremely flexible, you can pull in 6th gear at 700-800rpm and it will keep accelerating without bucking..

If you compare the gas mileage of this car with any other car with 500hp plus you will find out it beats the competition. I think is remarkable that it gets such a great gas mileage in hwy but it does not surprise me at all:

light weight
slim bodystyle
super tall gears

my .2c

I really believe that now is the time to buy if you can. I could very well be wrong, but I don't think that you will see prices like this in the near future. The recession along with gas prices has caused a slump in high performance/high dollar car sales and the 2009's are already hitting the lots. I believe that the manufacturers will back off a little on production for the 2009 model year because of the hard times. So, even if the recession ends and gas prices continue to go down, the supply may not be able to meet the demand next year. That may keep prices up. If the recession does not end and gas prices stay high, the manufacturers will not have as many cars sitting on the lots next year as they did this year. And I wonder how long it will be until the new fuel economy guidelines will cause these high performance cars to go extinct?

Insane beast! I was considering one... but there is already one in the family that I drive regularly. LOL Nice color too! Now is the time to pick up performance cars! There are insane deals to be had out there!

On a side note: I put a for sale ad for my RX8 in the Evo 1-9 car for sale section. I was thinking about the new car too much and accidentaly put 2008 instead of 2004 in the title. Is there a way to change the title on the main screen. I edited the title with the edit function, but it only changed it once you are looking at the actual thread. I don't want to mislead people. Any help would be appreciated.

First mod will be the "dealer logo delete".
