new IS250 OR new BMW 3 SERIES COUPE AWD?

My wife and I have been meaning to trade our current IS300 in for either a new White Lexus IS250 AWD, new White BMW 3 Series Coupe AWD, or a new AUDI A4 (the one with the S5 LED headlights). I just wanted to know which car you fellow EVO owners would choose and the reasons why. Any opinions appreciated. even better, rate them from 1-3, 1 being the best. Thanks.

BMW
LEXUS
AUDI

Why cause i think the bmw is the best looking but depending which u get will change whether its 1 or 2 with the lexus. if its a 335i then #1 if not the Lexus. the A4 is just kinda plain in looks to me. (test drive them LOL nothing imo is better than choosing the one u feel best in)

I'm a big Audi/VW fan... Top notch quality and fun to drive.. Get the 2.0t and do an apr chip. 260hp and 300trq while still getting 20 city and 28 highway.

The Lexus is a little too plush for my taste.

BMW is over rated unless youre taking about a 335, but thats in the s4 price range.

Cheers!

3 Coupe

1) Bimmer - fun to drive, free service, safe
2) Lex - tiny back seat entry space, you got kids?
3) Audi - I just like them...lol... my sister had a new A4 in 00', lot's of issues, no fun to drive.

I sell the new A4's. The re-designed models are great, 1st time they've been a new platform in 8 years. If you research them you'll find it's an awsome machine. The all-new 2.0T is efficient as it is powerful; 211HP and 258 lb-ft of torque (available at 1800RPM!) with a conservative 21/27 mpg rating. If you're unaware it's actually built on the new A5/S5 platform, so it's made to handle well. From the previous generation the wheelbase grew 6 inches and the vehicle is only 4 inches longer overall; more interior room, shorter overhangs. And the way they located the front differential ahead of the torque converter, the front axles are placed farther forward allowing for much improved weight distribution. Extensive use of aluminum in the suspension and subframes allow this larger chassis to increase stiffness over last years and decrease weight by a full 10%. And Audi has always been known for their interiors, excellent fit/finish, quality materials, and the design is gorgeous. Driving the Lexus/BMW/Audi back to back there are differences. The BMW is telepathic; steering very precise, suspension stiff and composed. Lexus is more 'floaty'; steering has a lower ratio, numbing some response and the suspension doesn't allow for nearly the amount of feedback of the BMW. Oh, and the 250 is a dog. The A4 is somewhat of a compromise; the longer wheelbase inherently smooths the ride but road feel is good, never muted. Steering feels great with a rack located at the vehicles vertical centerline and our speed-sensitive power assist. In the end I feel like a lot of people just don't recognize what goes into our products. Not saying they're for everyone but give it a shot and I feel you will come away very impressed.

You still haven't said whether the 335xi is an option or if it is the 328xi you're looking at.... That will definitely change many many peoples' posts.

And PS, everyone: He is talking about the NEW A4, the redesigned one that looks like an A5 sedan (if there was one)... not the old POS one.

PS to OP: If you are looking at the 3 series AWD coupe and the 335xi is out of the question (since it is a good deal over the price range of the other cars. Then I would not hesitate in buying an A5. The new A4 is great and all, but the A5 is amazing. Part of me wishes I had waited for one instead of getting the C4... Sure, not as much power or as sporty, but my friend has a brand new '09 black s-line A5 and it is wonderful. If you can afford the 335xi, then look at the S5.
