Need advice on this talon ASAP

Well, long story short, I had to sell the evolution due to financial reasons.
I picked up a jeep and now need something with some speed.
There is a guy selling an eagle talon, TSI, AWD. He claims it ran a 11.5 at 127mph.
He is askign 4500 or best offer. After reading the following do you guys think

A) it is as quick as he says (I can't gauge off of driving it...sorry)
B) what should I offer

So here is what it has:

1992 Eagle talon TSI AWD with 98K on body

6 Bolt 4g63t Block- was bored .30 over and honed, ross forged pistons 1g pin 8.5cr 85.5CR 85.5 +.020 99811. Reaped all head and main bolt holes, hot tanked block, 1G Big Rods magnafluxed, ARP head studs with Cometic head gasket. Head- professionaly done, fully ported, 4 angle valve on intake and exhaust, crower titanium springs and retainers, Fidenza cam gears, new oil pump case and new oil jet valves/nozzles. Fuel- 660 injectors, 255 walbro. Turbo- Big 20g TD06 - tial 40mm wastegate, V.P. 02 sensor housing, Front mount intercooler

Transmission- Brand new from dealership along with transfercase, act 2600 clutch with act billet flywheel, 4 gear center differential with impo short shifter.

Management- MAFT pro with 3'' GM MAF sensor, greddy boost controller type r, tmo eprom ecu chip (stage 3 with extras).

Exhaust- bushur full race 3'' exhaust with Buschur 3'' mandrel bent downpipe.

The engine is also alcohol injected using a surflow pump.

Suspension- Eibach pro-kit front and rear with Tokiko struts in the rear and stock struts in the front

THANKS GUYS

I know nothing about older DSM's but that intake side looks sizeable.

looks beastly, I am just not familiar either. Wasn't sure where else to post. He is flexible on the price but I wanted to see what you guys thought.

Looks like KBB has this car stock and what not around 1600 or so in this condition.

Look forward to hearing from you guys.
thanks

Little much for a 1G but 4000 with those mods isn't totally unreasonable.

With those mods and a good driver i could see that car going 11's. I also agree that 4k is the most i would offer

Not in to bad a shape either...hard to find ones that aren't trash now

You can go mid 11's all day long on the 20g. That is a damm good price for a fresh motor and drivetrain. If you buy a 1600 dollar DSM you get a car that probably won't get you home. If you buy a 3800 dollar DSM it'll get you home but it won't be fast. A car like that looks well built and taken care of and its worth the money.

Honestly, if I were selling my mid 11 second DSM for 4500 and somebody lowballed me I'd tell them to **** off and find a better car for the price.

yeah, i didn't get to make an offer. I asked him just a few questions and he told me forget it, so not sure if i hit a sensitive point or something.
I asked if he did the engine rebuild or a shop rebuild
I asked if he had a receipt that the tranny was new
and I asked if it was inspected in NJ and if not, if the car had cats on it

oh wells. lol

If he can't answer those questions he probably didn't have a few of the things that he said he did. Those are easy questions. Its just that I do have a mid 11 second DSM and I don't think I could part with it for 4500 and if that car was legit, I wouldn't be lowballing. Thats all.

Plus I'm pretty sure you haven't been able to buy a new tranny or TX case for a 1g for quite a few years, like over 5.........
