Ok guys i need all of u to chime in on this. My friend wants a "sports car" he is new to the car scene. But thinks a saturn sky is a great car for 28,000. I am going to show him this thread to try and talk him out of it. I tell him for that price he can get a nice evo. But he thinks 4 doors means its not nice and its slow. So what cars can u guys come up with 2 door for that price range that is killer. Oh and any one drive the sky that can put there inputs on here. I think he is really dumb to try and buy that but hey its ur money i told him and i try and show him better cars. Thanks for the help and sorry about the rant. I just hate to see people think that kind of car is at all nice. He tells me because i drive a FIT right now as my DD that its a nicer car than mine. But i tell him i am saving for another evo down the road and in the next month i am geting a sports bike to keep me happy till i get a EVO.
well my family has a pontiac solstice which is like the brother car to the saturn sky and its really not that great but is he wanting the turbocharged one or the normal one? If its the normal one then its not all that great i mean its a good weekend cruiser but not exceptionalyl fast. if turbo then idk never test drove it
I drive them a quite a bit at work. Personally I think they look pretty good.
The base models are slow as hell (still handle decent, just slow). I have only driven one redline turbo, and it was just ok. However, the interior is really cheap. Horrible if you ask me. I have a bmw, so my car has a pretty nice interior, but even the EVO has 10 times better interior (materials/layout/quality/etc) then the sky.
Plus you cant see anything out of the rear of the car.
Like eviil8 said, s2k would be a better choice if he really wants 2dr sports car. Or a Z4 M coupe

He wants the base model now. but he might go with the redline. Some guy is telling him it will get 350 hp after a coulpe mods. And i tell him that is crank not to the wheels that is slow. But he thinks if he can beat a mustang its fast. I just can't stand that car at all and for him to think its a fast car and a car that will get him girls is just stupid. It looks ok but thats it. But i am geting mad right now just thinking about it and its not my money. The only car he has had is a areo oldsmobile i belive its a 1998. So i guess that would be nice compared to that. But for me i have had nice cars and the sky is not one. But what ever when i get my next evo i will kill him by showing him what a true tuner car is and it will have 4 doors

Yea i am going to tell him about G35 and 350Z i forgot about them. i told him S2000 but he wants it brand new and the S2000 is more than the sky. But 350Z should be around that much.
