New Subaru Legacy

Has anyone else seen the new Subaru Legacy that's coming? It looks awesome (esp. in black). The JDM car has a turbo 2.0L making (of course) 276 hp and the US will initially get a 2.5L (STi motor) making 250 hp. The good news is that eventually an STi version (B4 RSK?) will come to the States, probably with 300 hp like the STi. The new car looks VERY clean and is really nice inside, too. I would much rather have the Legacy than a 330i...

Totally agree it will make a great family car. The wagon looks very slick. In the new best motoring (aug '03) they test a GT Wagon against the RS6 and some others.

The Legacy was faster around Tsukuba than the RS6 and the rest.

Yep, the car is going to be amazing. I've already decided that I'll be trading/selling my Evo for the Legacy GT Turbo. Paul Hansen would be proud...

I like it, but I heard the Turbo won't make it to the US for a couple of years.

The turbo is coming, but it will originally be a 2.5L with 250 hp. The hot turbo is the 2.0L with 276. More than likely we'll get the 2.5L STi motor with 300 hp (they should be able to solve the detonation problems by then) in a couple more years.

hot damn! I'd still rather have an Evo with 10k worth of mods than the Legacy (although the Legacy is a very nice car indeed).

I might consider the Legacy GT-B Wagon over the more expensive Audi S4 wagon....If I were to buy a wagon.

Too bad I can't convince my g/f to get one. She doesn't like Subaru...

The new legacy will not be powered by the twin-turbo version of the EJ20; rather, it will feature the single-turbo version of the engine which is also used on the Impreza WRX. The one shown in the pictures is a GT Spec B with 18” wheels.
