That RX7 is HOT! Have you ran it at the track yet?

 

i took it on power tour last year(2007) and ran it at track that we stopped at. it ran a 12.2 with my friend, our luggage and i in the car on strret tires. im sure it would be in the high 11's with just me driving and a set of drag tires

but the car really isnt a drag car at all, it is more of a fun daily driver that just gets you to work very fast

 

I know it man. With that motor and that chassis, one can only expect it to be a pure thrill ride.

out of curiosity, what does it cost on average to do an LS1 swap?

 

There is a green 3g RX7 with a Vette engine here in Tucson(specifically in Davis Monthan AFB) and rips/tears a lot of a$$ in town/street and on the track.

There is another 2g RX7 from one of the workers of AZdynochip in Phoenix(it is a red with a LTI engine) that also runs very well.

Just my .2c from what I have seen.

i have driven other corvettes in the past c5 and z06's and hands down the fd ls1 set up is just far bettter balenced and is just all around quicker

 

RX7 looks good. what part of Ohio are you from? there is a few v8 RX7s here in cincy. also few evos for sell .

 

A friend of mine has a 1987 RX7 with a LS1 swap and i can,t keep up with him in a straight line.

Your .02 on what? There are many ls1 equipped fd3s in United States and most of them rips. Pretty much a fact.
