350z/g35 tech

I know there are alot of 350z guys on here so if figured i would try to get your suggestions for my g35. Just ordered test pipes from Michael at ETS and TJ at English is going to hack out my resonators.

What other budget minded mods should i me looking in to doing?

I would go on some z and g forums but i really have a hard time shifting through all the garbage.

OK... here's what I'd buy:

Popcharger (only intake worth a damn on the DE engines)

Some kind of plenum spacer (AAM or Motordyne)

If you want to deal with the pain of the install, get a set of Strup Headers (relatively cheap, nice bump in power/torque all over the powerband). If you don't want to deal with the pain of installing yourself, don't buy. Paying for the install will put you over your limit.

I'd prolly put the rest into the suspension (sway bars, springs, etc). The rest of the power mods available really don't do squat.

On the spacer i know they have different sizes, what one am i going to want?

Are cams worth the money on my next round of mods?

The bigger the spacer you go, the more power you get. I honestly can't remember... does the G have a stock strut bar? If so, once you get to the BIG spacers, it needs to be removed. They have bars out there made for big spacers though. I had the AAM on my Z and loved it. You can keep the strut bar on as well with spacers.

Cams are NOT worth the money until you've done EVERY N/A mod... even then, they're not worth it due to cost of install. I'd only say they're worth it when it comes time for a built engine.

I haven't heard of any running E85, but I know the VQ world has recently fell in love with alky/meth.

no strut bar so i guess i will go as big as i can. Do the different sizes give you different powerbands?
