You're just a sad troll. At the last track event there was a guy with his EVO. I was just told he warped his rotors. So I think EVOs have **** brakes cause I did not hear any STi did that.

 

How is bringing up conversation about something that is taken off a board and straight from a magazine to simply DISCUSS and ask about, trolling? I didn't post it in the Evo forums I posted it in "other cars". I could go to Nasioc.com and other Subaru boards and read dozens of similar things brought up about the Evo and other cars by people to discuss...are they trolls? Just because you don't like the topic or heading doesn't mean you need to make personal attacks. If you have a problem with my post or me pm me and ask me about it. BTW, there are more and more people it are happening to even when exhausts are supposedly installed correctly by TurboXS.

 

oh christ, here we go again... another STI owner coming into our forums and defending the perfect STI (which shouldn't need defending, right?).

oh yeah the brakes. a stock EVO will stop much quicker than a stock STI any day. Its been proven in every test. I've never seen an STI come out on top in braking.

You are trying for a long time to prove to yourself you did a good thing buying an EVO. I remember plenty of your posts from both forums. What you were expecting to hear here from EVO people about problem with some STis with aftermarket exhaust? Well, I think exactly what you got.

My stupid remark about EVO's brakes had exactly the same value as broeli's posts about STi in this thread.

I have nothing against the EVO and never had. I like it but I preferred to spend my money on STi. What is wrong with it?

 

Don't assume what I think. Actually I like both cars and probably like the Sti about equally. It is a preference thing as to why I bought the Evo. I don't dislike the STi at all. So quit being an idiot and making assumptions.
I guess your reasoning on posting about another car is why all those STi owners post negative things they hear about the Evo too heh?
Ok. Lets keep it on topic and discuss the problem of melting bumper and paint. It's not purely a detonation issue either...people that are reporting it haven't mentioned for a second that is a reason. If I had a detonating STi I would surely get that issue taken care of before I modded it..which I'm sure most are doing whether it is a dealer reflash or SAFC.

 

see now you are just being an idiot. He took what he read in other forums and told us about it, thats it. And you took defense to that. If there isn't a problem then don't get all heated (HAHHA, intentional pun) about it. You getting defensive makes it seem like there really is a problem and that you are tryign to hide it by putting down the EVO. All you have to do is state your opinion and experiences to either confirm or negate the statement. Coming in here and basically attacking people isn't gonna get you anywhere.

if I was forced to guess, and I know I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd have to say that he just might be a little sarcastic, a little, ya know? Kinda like the way I am now. It fun to be sarcastic.... the STI is the best looking car I've ever seen, that hood scoop doesn't look stupid at all and the flappy wing just adds to the performance, oh and don't get me started on the pink lettering, its just to die for...... its fun for everyone!

 

FYI, GMX, I have been notified twice by mods when I have been sarcastic that I will be banned from the forums for things like that. Mods should be setting the example if they're going to point the finger...

Back on topic, I don't think there is anything wrong with the STi, just watch the temps if you have one and do any track or (especially) autocross.
