Well, I assume I have a higher tolerance level on this aspect and I don't consider some sarcastic comment to be "harmful". I understand you might have a bad experience with some other mods. Of course, no two people see things exactly the same and mods have different standard as well.

I tend not to be sarcastic myself is some "serious" discussion and I won't stop someone if it adds to the on-going topic.

So far, I don't see any need to stop this discussion as long as everyone remains civil. Cheers

Let me put my flame suit on before I begin

I saw a post (nasioc) a while back about the GReddy EVO exhaust with the GS downpipe. I have the same set up, this is what I found, when the install was about done, the exhaust tip was extremely close to the bumper, when you hit bumps or whatever, the tip could scrape the bumper. A fella installed this on his STI and it ended up melting his bumper, what the guy did not do was bend the exhaust hangar brackets ever so slightly to create a few more millimeters of space, I am talking not even visible in viewing. I did this and have no issues with my bumper, heating, or detonation. Although, yes I have heard and seen the posts about detonation.
I do notice that when I go to the track, yes the engine does get hot, obviously. But it doesn't even affect the temp gauge which has not gone up even 1 extra bar under heavy driving or being stuck in heavy heat at a car show with the ac on for about an hour.

Just my experience with my car....

Well, they definitely run hot while stationary. Had some first hand experience with that yesterday. The numbers it put down were none too shabby though and it never missed a beat. The only post worth reading is the first one.
