well yeah, i'm sure the trannies aren't nearly as strong as an STI or Evo.. I just thought it was interesting and pretty impressive for just a WRX.

I completely agree that its impressive. If I were the OP I would wait until his friend knows how to launch the car smoothly. Im sure he would feel bad taking him to track with a new car and having something go wrong. Either way though your Evo should have no problem.
