I would recommend waiting until the Fall when we should see the Mark 6. I believe that it is using the same Chasis and Drivetrain. I think the majority of the changes are on the Exterior/Interior. VW is going back to it's roots and getting rid of the Mark 5 front bumper.

Hi 06Rs, yes i thought of waiting for the Mark 6 Too.. but definitely the price a lot much different compare with Mark5, aiz.. Wondering how much it gonna be for the new coming Mark 6

2nd, it is 7thgear on the new mark 6? that's a lot... thought 6gear is way too much already.. i think they built it and meant for better fuel consumption. Correct me if im wrong ...

I was supposed to get a GTI myself. When I was finally ready to get it, it was already sold. I got my EVO shortly after. Blessing in disguise cos the EVO is simply fantastic! (and looks a lot meaner imo)

 

The only VW I would consider buying is the Jetta TDI: good power and fuel efficient.
