I know, I was pointing out (in a poor manner) that checking blue book or the NADA price is pointless. They're probably useful for pricing a base model, but not the TT. Same with the 240SX, Trueno, etc.

I love supras but I hate supras at the same time. reason being is that a supra is somewhat a collectors car status, so everytime you'd want to drive it, you'll have the mileage in the back of your head and the depreciation and such, which will refrain you from driving it based on the aforementioned. Best thing to do is buy this one, put it in a air tight box and let it sit in storage. Now just buy another one with way more miles so most its vaue is gone and have fun. No garage queen drama and such.

That sucks a lot that you cant get it. Wish you had some good family members. I borrowed $50k, from my Brother in law, for a 94 mazda rx7(well the car is $20k with about less then 30k miles on the body with a brand new 99spec jdm motor in it). Still in the shop and should be out by next month.

Considering the economy and how hard it is, many people looking to buy cars are out of luck.

I can't even imagine how difficult it would be trying to finance a 12 year old car .

BTW, I know somebody looking for a Supra; could you PM me the info on the Supra you located?

Save up. Better to get 2 different cars. My evo is my DD and my Rx7 is my weekend drive(well not yet at least, till it gets out of the shop).

Blue book values for the Supra are pretty low.
You nailed it. You stole the words from me. *** that!!! I ain't paying $36G for a over inflated car that was feauture on a stupid fast and furious movie.

I ain't paying 36gs for a car that has been put into a pedestal because one person can run 8 sec and pull 1200 or 1400rwhp after spending $130k in mods.

The Supras are cool and could potencially be fast but you have to dump a lot of money. For 36gs you are just buying a car that is worth $10000-$12000, that is right folks!!. There were many cars in the Supras price category when new(Corvette C4, Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4, Nissan 300ZX, Mazda RX7s) that have the right price.

Cmon people, keep feeding the hype more and more, why not just pay $50gs for a Supra stock that is 12 years old? The Supra gained a popularity because of its texas mile, 1/4 mile traps and ETs and dyno numbers, that is all good but think about this, what are you getting for 36g's? a used Supra that cost new 40g. A supra that is 12 years old.

My .2c, no hating just bringing the facts. Please don't misinterpret me, I love a Supra, i could have one or two in my garage, I just could never justify a dime over what that car is really worth($15000 tops).

I agree . I personally only care for the drivetrain the rest of the car doesnt do much for me. I do feel that the combination of a very poor woresening economy combined with banks that have recently stopped making loanss for them is an issue. Ive tracked a few that heve been for sale for over a year now.
