wow.....people are choosing a Skyline over a GT3 and the new Viper??? Nuts man........that new Viper is very very very sick......I chose GT3 cuz there simply is no subsititue for a Porsche as said before but I'd be hard pressed not to get the Viper.....my buddy has one and I've never heard anything sweeter.
Skyline
As the owner of both a 1996 R33 Skyline GT-R Vspec and an Evo 8 as well as having gone up against the likes of every other car on that list on both street and track, I have the luxury of selecting the Skyline as the best of the bunch from personal experience. I was a Sales Rep at MotoRex, Inc selling GT-R's to those who knew what all the fuss was about. I have schooled all the cars listed in the poll and many more on top of that. My best 1/4 time so far is 11.384@126mph on street tires. The car has no internal upgrades with the exception of HKS step 1 camshafts. The car runs HKS GT2530's and is made up of entirely bolt on mods. All this performance plus 22.5 miles per gallon without even trying to conserve make the Skyline GT-R my weapon of choice. Dont hate on the GT-R, undestand that there is a reason that Skylines have a cult-like following the world over. I cant think of any other cars that were banned from competition and given a class of their own because they were so good that it wasnt fair to all the crybabies driving supremely capable cars that still couldnt keep up. While the Viper may sound good, which it does, the GT-R is more capable in LIGHTLY modded form, the GT-R tuning market is far larger, and the exclusivity of the GT-R is unmatched. I could go on all day about what makes the GT-R the better car but those of you who actually know what you're talking about dont need me to try to convince you of what you already know to be true. LONG LIVE THE KING.
PS, While the Skyline is truly one of the all time greats, The Evo still deserves mention as being nearly as ridiculously capable as the GT-R. The Evo also has the weight advantage so while the Skyline really feels and behaves like a car weighing far less, the Evo does weigh less yet has a similiar effect so essentially, the Evo feels positively featherweight when pushing the car past what would be considered sensible driving yet it still sticks so much better than physics should allow. Both cars make me feel like my blood is pooling on one side.
Long live them both!
Muscle can Suck it!

Porsche. Absolutly. Not sure how there'd be any competition :P
You can get a 944 Turbo for under 10grand. :P But not syaing that's the best route to go. Get an older modle Porsche and it can be even cheaper, and still the same great car...
/me dreams.

the Caterham R500evo is cool, but there are quicker cars out there. try a Racical SR3 Turbo and you will see what i mean!!! its a shame you guys dont get TVR'S as i think you would love them.
