It is so retarded, that I can't help but like it
My X5 is listed at 2045 kg for the small motor, so a little more for mine with the V8 and most of the goodies, and it can handle pretty well despite being pre-X Drive. And it is extremely well behaved at and beyond the limits of grip. 4 wheel drifts are so much fun lol. I would venture to guess that the handling would surprise a few people.
However that said, modern BMWs have **** reliability, so I would never buy one even if I had the money to throw away. I had much better reliability from my Ford Bronco then with my current car

I actually work in the quality department at the plant that stamps the A-class body panels for these things 
They are fugly in my opinion, but hey its what pays the bills, lol.
