Just had cambelt changed and the revs (700rpm) are not smoooth at idle, if i rev a little (1000) its not much better, normal driving is ok its just when you come to a standstill, it was perfectly smooth before.
Oh its a 2.5 Galant VR4.
Any info appreciated.

 

Did you change it yourself? How's the tension on the belt? Might need to be adjusted.

 

No, big job so let a garage do it (Subaru 'specialist'), not got back to him yet.

 

this sounds like the cams might not be dialled in properly, have them check if this is the case.

 

Its got to be the timing!
