Question Help us choose!! GT-Starlet OR MR2 G Limited???

Ok well things are starting to fall in place with the whole Toyota Trueno GT-Z thing (Long story, not important) so my partner and myself have been starting to narrow down our options for the replacement car!! Now first off WHATEVER we choose it is going to be an automatic!! We sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic for around 1-2 hours a day, 4-5 days a week so having my MR2 (GT Turbo, modded blah blah) as the 2nd car it will be our daily driver.

Anyway we have narrowed it down to either a 1990-1995 Toyota Starlet GT Automatic OR a 1990-1994 MR2 G Limited MR2 Automatic, Oh and Im in NZ so Im talking J-SPEC. If we go the MR2 it will need to have the following:

Targa Top
Automatic
1990-1994 (although the cost of 93 up is more often a bit out of our price range!!)
PREFERABLY any colour apart from red (Although the above being good red will do)
110,000 kms OR LESS

If we go the GT Starlet it will need to have the following:

Automatic
1990-1995 (again although the cost of 95 up is often a bit out of our price range!!)
Any colour
GT (so Turbo)
90,000 kms or less (as we would like to sell it on at around 120,000 kms)

We have been looking for a while and the prices for the MR2's (NZ Prices) have ranged between $6000 and $11,000 depending on km's mainly. The Starlets seem to be a bit cheaper in the way of cost to condition, from around $6000 to $11,000 also.

First off I'd be keen to hear of some opinions on what out of the above two cars you guys recommend and why? Also some specs would be good, I have found some BUT as always they seem to vary greatly!!

This tells me about the Starlet (manual probablly though):

As for the MR2 Auto........??

Remember whatever way we go we will probably do some MINOR mods, as it will be the daily driver BUT still needs to be fun and comfortable!!

Any ideas on other cars as well would be cool I guess. Again the car we get will depend on how much we would get from selling the GT-Z Trueno BUT I'm confident I can get a GOOD price on it once it's fixed!!

Cheers
