WARNING: Just a bit of carbon fiber...

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...60-forged.html

Been browsing the vette forums lately and couldn't help but sharing these pictures. Of course Three Sixty Forged never disappoints.

Look great, but I'd get scared every time I spotted a pothole. CF doesn't strike me as a very good material for wheels. Shatters instead of bends.

do people actually track race with carbon fiber wheels? arent they too brittle? I see using cf to reduce weight on heavy steel or aluminum body panels, doors, wings, etc, but for wheel spokes? Seems odd and dont know I would trust it until its proven... any teams use cf wheels for racing?

My understanding is the spokes are full carbon fiber. They are also over $2k a piece.

They are 6061-T6 aluminum that is wrapped in carbon fiber. Not quite Dymag but also not quite the price. So it would be like driving any other high quality 3pc wheel.

360 forged owes nearly 100 sets of wheels on the porsche forum to customers for over 6 months.. They are doing alot more than disappointing people.. BEWARE!!!

Interesting, just found out they are no longer vendors on the Vette forum either. Didn't know that...oh well I still like their wheels and the pictures of their members cars. Hopefully they turn around...although in this state of an economy I have a feeling they wont.

No they arent going to turn around.. When you owe near 1 million dollars to customers on just 1 forum there is no digging out of that hole..

+1 and I wouldn't buy it at $2K a piece. If someone gets it, I suppose the new formula for the Evo would be: $15K motor + $15K tranny + $10K wheels and tires??
