either way, too bad, cause it never made it to NY State (emissions).... btw, Touareg now offers a V6 Tdi, as do X5 and ML... there was a great comparo test in Car&Driver last month.
I think the 2008 V10 TDI was 50 state compliant. Or maybe it was 2006.

The V6 TDI should be a good vehicle. Much more economical, and cleaner. Although I'm not sure about the AdBlue system after the warranty is up.

It is, but I think it'd be a nearly perfect car with a small diesel. The small gas engines are so gutless.

u may be right, but still, at nearly $70k, being a "VW", it met the same fate as the phaeton 2 years prior

IMO the Touraeg was "worth" $70k; the Phaeton was not. V10 TDI, AWD, air suspension, good interior, etc...

what killed it was the fact that the same exact vehicle, with a V6, was just $40k. so as great as the idea of a V10 TDI is to us, gearheads, the common buyer didnt wanna spend $30k 'on an engine'
