A treat to drive...
I recently debated over getting rid of the EVO as i am soon going to be a father, and didn't think it was a very practical car for me...
after much decision making, i ended up keeping the EVO and purchasing a 2000 VW 1.8T Jetta...
I really like the Jetta, and have not really been driving the EVO much at all, since the weather has been more or less ****...
Well, i took her out tonight and it was really fun... you don't realize how much of a master piece this car is until you don't drive it everyday...
when i was driving it everyday, i was getting kind of annoyed with the harsh / jarring ride... but when you don't have to rely on it for daily transportaion it makes it sooo much more rewarding...!
Here's a few pics of the 2 *****es in my life...
these were the day i brought the new one home...
and this is the new ***** today after an Eibach ProSystem install, and some OEM VW LongBeach rims, and some other misc crap...

Hot damn that Evo looks good bro. I also love the 1.8t v-dubs. I'm currently in the market for a new car and it's sort of come down to a black Evo or a black 25th anniversary 1.8t Golf with 18's and a six speed tranny. I wish I could have both.
I guess you'll be calling Neuspeed soon about your Jetta.
I need a second ride, but I think it'll be a truck to tow the Evo to the track. I like your pick there, Diesel. Any word on those 2-piece rotors? I have a line on some carbon-carbons right now - just waiting to hear back on cost.

Nice second car Diesel !! I love VW's, and yours is looking good with the suspension and wheels/tires!
Having been an avid VW fan, you have a lot of great tuning options for your "daily driver". I have run ABT, MTM, Autothority, Hypertech, ATR, Eastern Performance, and Neuspeed, but the best chip I have ever run in any car to date is the Oberscheider 93 octane O.Ct for my VW GTI 337.
Oberscheiders attention to power under the curve creates a power band that is broad and smoothe like stock, only like on steroids. Matched with a full Milltek Turbo back and Hyperboost DV my 337 was an extremely fast car with great drivability, and none of the weird surging and boost transitions you get with a lot of the other chips.
If you have any further interest you can see the details at stratmosphere.com, and give Bob or Pete a call.
Congrats on the car!
