My Buddy had a VW before MKV and it was a **** to drive! Comparing the cars is insane but you know any true car enthusiast would never ever, ever put down another car or make! The fact is a fact! It's all taste and you have to respect that. Scumrat has both of bothworlds the JDM scene and EuroSCENE, he's just enjoying life with alot toys. The man with the most toys wins right?
BTW....buddy end up getting rid of his VW and in the garage is a shiny AS EVO IX!

Some of the VW style is cool. rusty hoods and retardly stretched wheels aren't my taste but there are some fast and good looking VW's out there. What I don't like are the majority of VW owners hate on anything but a VW. I have a friend who used to be into VW's and he'd say the same thing. Most of them are arogant ******. I'm not saying all, but most of the VW guys I've come across are straight ******* douche bags.
I do infact despise working on a VW or Audi. Driving them is a different story. VW's and Audi's drive great. I'd get one if I didn't have to worry about trying to fix them.

I never understood the super stretched tire look. A little stretch...ok, super stretched looks retarded. There's also zero performance/handling gained by stretching a tire that far. More of a driving hazzard.

jdm can be ugly...as with any scene. hello! people used to rag on Veilside and AbFlug for their outrageous styling and then it blew up over here.
how about Boso/yanky style cars? those are in the jdm scene. Although i think some aren't as bad looking like the traditional racers but there are ones that take the style to great lengths.
Team High End Boso/yanki BB
straight jockin the rat rod look...
but still...i give everyone props for the time and effort put into their cars...like i said just turn your back and keep it to yourself. At least these guys are doing something different...are you? buying off the shelf parts and painting your car a different hue of red from the original Rally Red isn't different. O wait never mind getting gold Rota P45R's instead of "Time Attack style" Rota P45R's are different.

seriously, some people in this thread are ridiculous.
Asian / Euro / Domestic
Three totally different types of cars. I have owned a Chevy, Mitsu and now a VW. All have different advantages and disadvantages, all have different "scenes" and all deserve respect in their own areas.

I think it can all look good, depending on how its done, and how the overall look of the car is. Like someone said before, to each their own. I'm not a fan of crazy strech, but some is ok.
Here's how my car sits now:
you just have to keep in mind that the JDM world and European Market are completely different in terms of styling, wheel choice, etc.
