Turbo Magazine article on the 694 hp Mirage
In fact, I think I know which Mirage you're talking about. That car belongs to Sean Glaser (Sp???) of Extreme motorsport for drag racing ONLY, not street legal.
They gutted out the 5G Mirage (which is the EVO IV+ chassis) and put a Talon's 4G63 into the car. They re-weld every single mount in the engine bay and say, "it's highly no feasable for daily driven".
In fact, he can't even launch with his first gear....have to start from 2nd. Due to the tranny problem, this car was never a big winner in various drag events....

I don't think it was the tranny problem. It suffering from severe TQ steer that the mirage's chassis can't hold all that power from the 4g63 (steering a bit towards the wall - never fixed the problem). Eventually, Sean Glazer sold the car to someone.
Also, I don't believe he has run over 4 events in the car.
As for the 2nd gear start, it had so much power that 1st gear can't hold the power (gear ratio). Second gear starts was feasible.
