Naa, it will CRUSH the evo, Most are saying about 450-500 HP and it's a 7 speed with a paddle shifter. 100k is what people are thinking. It is NOT going to be a hybrid from what everyone is saying at honda.

That was the old news, new news is 3.5 V6 putting around 450-500 HP no one would by a electric NSX.

I read somewhere says, 300hp V6 hybrid with 2 electric motor driving the front wheels. I will hang with the Evo if they make it light. On the track the NSX will definitely be very very competitive with the Evo.

I would. Utilizing the latest hybrid technology in a ultra performance vehicle is as beneficial as using it in a commuter. From a standpoint of off the line torque, how much nearly instantaneous torque do the electric motors provide? That allows the gas engine to be tuned more specifically for higher top end. Someone, and it is likely to be Honda, will make a hybrid sports car.

I just don't see that, The one thing that does worry me is back in 1991 when the NSX was going for 60-65 they were selling them for 80-100. I will not take that hit and I may have to wait for the hype to die down. Also the old NSX's will drop in price and a 1997+ would be a GREAT car to have.

I know many people don't see it, but it will happen, it's just how long before it does. Take a look at the below quote, from someone who knows more than either of us about what might be in the works.

"no less an authority than Tom Elliot, American Honda's executive vice president, also has said that a hybrid Acura sports car is the likely follow-up to the Honda Insight and Civic hybrids."

I agree that a used NSX is a great car, I even considered it in place of the Evo. I am sure dealers will be gouging when/if the NSX arrives, but since there is a lot more competition now in that market, maybe it won't be as bad (yeah right).

The Honda Dualnote was the prototype for the new NSX, which is a V6 hybrid.

to all those that think the rear end doesnt look like the enzo's they have never seen the rear end of the enzo, I'd actually take it over the enzo, although its slower I'd save hundreds of thousands and buy a stable of hot automobiles and a dang house! They copied ferrari real bad, think not? peep the glass window showing the engine! they cant sue though, if they try they will loose, look at jeep and the hummer h2 and the front grille issue.

I'm with you 100% on this. Honda's IMA is far enough along to try a high-performance version, just to demonstrate what it's capable of doing. The credibility of hybrids is still pretty weak because they've only been in 3 economy cars so far. Put it in a super car with Ferrari 360 performance (but getting 10mpg better mileage) and the credibility goes up to a point where Accord and Odyssey owners may consider an IMA vehicle to be a good alternative. And if people don't rush to buy it, so what? There has never been a "rush" for NSXs.
