Carbon Fiber Roof - Seeing is believing

Was going to post this in the other black roof vinyl thread I had going, but I thought that these pictures deserved a thread on its own.

Kind of a coincidence that my old buddy Paul hit me up for this. It was a short notice, but it seemed to have worked out well for the both of us.

He cruised over and my buddy and I wrapped his roof in dry carbon fiber.

Let me know how the pictures look, hopefully the carbon fiber weave came out clear enough in the pictures.

If you saw it in person and I did not tell you that it was vinyl, I don't think anyone would ever guess that it was otherwise. It really is that good.

Looks really good. can it come in a gloss finish? i love it. i was gonna order a super thin piece of cf laminate to do my roof with but that looks way better i think.

Unfortunately it doesn't

I am considering trying to put a gloss laminate over on top of the cf vinyl, and see what affects it would have. With the extra thickness of the gloss laminate, it might even give the cf some depth, just like real cf pieces.

Only the first picture makes it obvious it is vinyl, the rest had me fooled. But, I still think its a bad idea.

Definitely not for everybody. However if you had to have it/do it, this is the best of the best in cf vinyl material right now.

I might as well put it out there now, if it wasn't obvious enough, this is completely and purely for aesthetic purposes only. Take it for what it is (or not).
