Anyone else like the old school E30s? These cars are pretty cheap, yet still look good IMO. Back in the day I used to want one so bad but couldn't afford it. Back then I think these cars went for $30K which was a ton of money at the time! I must be trying to relive the past or something cause for whatever reason I picked up a cabrio and told my wife it's to be my hoopty dd.

Here's a clean 318 I came across on another forum.

And here's mine. I plan on lowering it, painting it black and redoing the interior to OEM new. These cars are a blast to drive.

My friend had a 325i coupe, I loved it, to me, it is >>>>>> 335Ci. It won't be long until E30 M3 becomes what 911 Carrera RS 2.7 is now (although by then Carrera RS 2.7 would be even more of a Legend)

BMW M3 (E30), Mercedes-Benz E190 2.3-16 / 2.5-16, Lancia Delta HF AWD/Integrale is probably what helped to spawn performance variants of Subaru Legacy and Mitsubishi Galant, which then switched to Lancer Evolution and Impreza WRX.

My only word of advise with those cars is to aim for the IS trims. They made 318i and 318IS, 325i and 325IS, etc, etc. One is low compression aimed for gas mileage and the others(IS) are much higher compression and aim for performance.

They are very cool cars, one of the main issues are the main rubber mount on the center drivetrain shaft, they start getting crack and evetually your drivetrain makes noise during acceleration.

If you ever want to get the most fun without going M3 pick a 92' 328i with optional rear LSD, this car will give a run for a money to the 1st and second gen M-3s.

Anyway, good luck with it. Remember, the diagnosis plug on those cars are inside the engine bay.
