What weird displacement...2.3L. I like hatches, just not 5 door ones. If I had my pick, it'd go to the Focus SVT.

it's pretty much the same thing as the ford svt... though car & driver said it's not as bumpy a ride. mazdaspeed proteges are nicer.

my sister just got a protege and she LOVES how it handles. very nimble stuff. tires on it suck *** though.

I like it. I've always been a fan of the MP5 but I like this even more.

Are there any pictures of the "hatch" version? I've only seen the 5 door and 4 door models... none of the hatch.

Great pics Peejay...now let's see if the USDM version gets treated the same way.

I actually saw a review on the Mazda 3 today, it really impressed me. It comes with a 150HP engine which is in the higher trim and comes with xenon headlights instead of your basic halogen. Considering what Mazda has done thus far in the US market, this vehicle should be priced well and if the USDM version stays consistent with those pictures and what I've seen in the review, it should give any hatch on the market a run for it's money.
