Totaled my first bike riding like a fcking idiot, without a jacket to top it off. Learned my lesson, I think I came out lucky. Slid a little, then tuck n' roll. Just a little road rash. Post up your battle scars!

glad ur ok

gear up and stop being a squid, any 'good' jacket will prevent this type of rash (yes icon too )

i am assuming this thread will be seeing a good amount of fail from riders that refuse to gear up

be safe out there

I know it's what they all say, but the only time I've wrecked was on my little 4 mile commute to work a bit ago, and sadly, I was only wearing a helmet.

crappy old cell phone pictures that I still have on my myspace, hope everyone can see them.

I have a metal plate in my left arm.

People who ride in Austin are idiots. I see more people without helmets than with! Either gear up or don't ride.

In '01 I tossed mine down the track. Caught an ugly highside after chopping the throttle past the apex at around 90 ended up with a fused right wrist 10% movement, fractured most of my ribs, internal bleeding and compound frac. collar bone. Great times haha

i had a spill back in 07, but i always ride in gear, and ended up with just a friction burn on my right arm, and a bruise on my hip...i believed it when the experienced riders said that everyone falls...just wish more people didn't take the chance of riding without gear. if they are lucky enough to survive a spill...i'm sure it will change their minds.

Iv had a few little spills, with gear they were a few scrapes, but without gear they would have been brutal.. ex: one tore through the leather on my boot into the steel toe
