2010 STi Special Edition.

This is basically the US Spec. C. I like what they did to it............. performance wise. Looks are still up in the air. I am interested in how much better it handles, hopefully one of the magazines review it soon.

LOL. I wonder how much the price will be on this? Its already $36K? so i'm guessing an extra $1.5K-$2K. Which will put it on par with the base MR.

They need to stay away from the hatch look. Subaru won't be back in the game until they switch back. Either way its ugly as s.......t

Yea. But sedan doesn't look any better though. When i test drove the 09 WRX i couldn't get how it was out of my head, i don't care how much faster it was than the RA. A complete redesign is in order.

STi Special Edition doesn't seem any special to me. They could had done better. Up the power, reduce weight, but at lease keep the HID headlights.

No special asthetic exterior or interior at all. Improving the handling and taking away the HID, and putting the regular HAVC controlers doesn't make it any special.

I guess they feel suspension was the way to go instead of looks. The thing that baffles me is that if this is goin to be the standard model later next year then why buy the "special edition".

To me, if you going to call it a Special Edition, make it look the part. Like the Evo IX SE, even though the handling and power is the same, but cosmetically there's things here and there to set apart from and Evo IX. Diamond Black BBS, SE Lip, with red stitching on the Recaro's. It's not much, but with those you see that it's not a regular Evo.

But the STi, different. Who can tell that it's an SE? Are you going to look under the car to see the sway bars or springs? They made the exterior cheap by taking away the HID, and the interior less appealing by putting in the regular HAVC. Seriously how much does the HID kit weighs, or the electronic air control. He could had reduce weight here and there buy using CF or some thing. Make it a real SE instead of just taking out some stuff , making it handle a little better and call it day is just dumb.

I agree with both of you but if you mod it just right, you can deny that it doesn't look good. I came from an 07, and I too bashed the 08 but its grown on me since people started modding them. Here are some pics...

as for this Special Edition... Subaru needs to include the REAL things people want in their USDM STI......., Recaros etc...

of course I still prefer the GD.

Trust me I agree with u completely. This move doesn't make much sense to me either. It more of a mid-cycle update.
