It'll definitely be a car to look out for. Even the new v6 puts up some good numbers.

2011 Mustang GT 4.3sec 0-60mph..RESPECT!!
Just make sure we show some respect to the 2011 Mustang GT because no joke, this car is for real:
435hp/405lb-tq (dynoed) 412hp-390lb-tq manufacturer claimed
0-60mph 4.3 sec tested
1/-4 mile 12.8@110mph
.94 G on the skipad
Braking in 105 ft from 60mph-0
http://mad-fast.com/2010/04/2011-412...d-test-videos/
and I must admit I hated Mustangs for the longest and since 2006 I am a firm believer that Ford is offering a heck of a sport car with their newer Mustangs.
Please take a moment and watch the video. Truly short of amaizing..
Look what it does to a Camaro SS:

Though underpowered, the Mustang GT has held its own because it's several hundred pounds lighter than both the Camaro SS and the Challenger SRT8. It has also put up better slalom and skidpad numbers. The only bad thing I can really say about the current Mustang GT is that there are way too many of them on the road. The Camaro will soon catch up in numbers though, due to the low price. The 2011 GT will be top dog of the three when it comes out. I wouldn't call the guys at Ford idiots. They are the only American car company in decent shape at the moment, and the fact that there are too many Ford Mustangs on the road says something about their gameplan.

Remember, Ford had the Shelby GT500. As per the Camaro, well, yes, it came out last year with more power but it hasn't been a year since they came out and Ford Already steeped to the plate with the Mustang GT.
Do the math, the Camaro takes 6.2liters to make 430hp, the Mustang makes 421(about 435hp really) with just a 5.0liter..uhmmm...
The Mustang GT is always welcome. No, I don't think it is too late.
