Anyone jumped from a Evo 9/8 to a 2010 Sti Special Edition?

Over the years I really missed selling my old 05 MR because i love the handling. I was looking at 06 MR but for the price I might as well go for a brand new STi SE for 5-6 grand more. For those that make the switch, is the handling comparable?

I just want everyones opinion only on the ride, handling and handling feel. I'm not concerned on the pros and con on anything else.

Thanks in advance

The new STI SE is a great deal. If you like the way it looks, you will be happy with the way it drives.

But remember you can get a really good condition EVO IX for 21-24k. I doubt you can find a STI SE for under 31k.

+1

I've seen IX MR's go for 20-24k as well depending on the mileage

The STI SE does seem like a pretty good value if you're looking at just MSRP. The thing is I doubt dealerships will be willing to discount them much from MSRP so you could probably get a new X GSR for around the same price.

I'm able to get one at a fair price. The problem with the evo 9 MR is that it is hard to find one with low milege with a clutch left and unmodded. I really like brand new for these type of cars. I would really like to know how the SE handles. Looks like I will need to make a trip down to test drive myself.

Just test driven. I wish the steering is more quick. Compared to the evo it feels the turn in is slower but the turn out seems faster. It is almost flipped but the car feels pretty stable and the top feels like it rolls a bit much like the evo.
