10k gets you a basic well done swap. I could rebuild mine for about 14k... However, including things I've broken, upgraded, or otherwise done over I'll be pushing 20k and a stupid amount of hours into it by the time the widebody is done.

I know. I know. There are definitely pros and cons to each.

That said, I made 462 rwhp and 413 torque last time I was on the dyno and that's damn hard to do with a rotary (particularly on pump gas, if you want it to live a long stable happy life). Add in the fact that I don't well understand the rotaries failure modes (and therefore couldn't really trust the car to be flogged) and I wanted to try something else.

Having deemed myself a heretic already I don't foresee another rotary in my future.
