Any love for v8 powered rx7's on here

Here's mine:

Stance (picked up the RE30's on from an Evo owner):

Engine bay:

Track wheels:

350z rotors:

Definitely not as refined as the few Evos I've been in but it's still a lot of fun. Just curious, anyone know how much wheel you can put on an Evo X these days? I'm thinking I may have a widebody in my future so I may be shopping here in a bit.

I certainly wouldn't mind having one. Nothing wrong with dropping an aluminum V8 into a relatively light RWD chassis

Thanks fellas. Here's a little something from when I first got it on the road (per request)...

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/113397...fc_rx7_donuts/

I had to run slightly larger front fenders so I could rock the Evo wheelsets. Car sits at right around 3k lbs (and that's with the roll bar and sound deadending).

I do not like cross make swaps at all, but your car is very clean and well executed.

Sometimes that's the best I can get. You're right that I don't have a heck of a lot of brand loyalty. Heck I didn't even mention the c4 driveshaft, the Toyota overflow tank or the Volvo fan.

I admittedly set out to build my version of what I wanted a car to be, however, I also wanted it to look like it could have been OEM somewhere and that ups the effort considerably....

It's a heads and cam ls6, technically from a 04 GTO, but I started with a true vette motor so I still rock the covers. All aluminum means I still have a 50-50 weight ratio. The car makes triple the hp it came with and gets better gas mileage than the rotary too. Not saying rotaries can't be rad, but this was what I wanted to do.
