Sold the evo and bought...

an 05 s2000

I wasn't a huge poster in the forums but I'm wishing a fairwell to the evo community. I mostly was around on the forum for buying parts from other fellow evo owners. I ended up selling my evo since I spun a rod bearing and decided to just sell it as is rather than paying to fix it or go with a built block. I wanted something rwd and fun for daily use and reliability.

I learned a lot from this community and would hopefully like to get another evo in the future. Just modding it to the point where I want it isn't quite feasible at the moment so I bought my s2k as my dd is only 25k miles priced at 19 grand.

Anyways I will be posting some numerous classifieds when I get the chance for selling injectors, dp, mbc, etc. I'd also like to thank everyone for all the help throughout the boards, lots of noobs can find tons of useful info on here.

This is true! I guess this isn't a farewell but more of a "I'll be back"

I really do miss the sheer speed of it, but I can't afford the maintenance and work I put into it. I just got done paying it off but I have many other bills to pay, so when I saw the s2k for that cheap price I just had to jump on the deal. I have a few friends, 2 with boosted s2ks. They have a lot of potential and hold great amount of power on stock block with its stock forged internals. I may decide to boost it in the future or come back and get an evo X. Just not a big fan of all the added weight on the evo x. We'll see what happens, but I definitely will be back hopefully in the next few years after college.

It was in perfect condition with a perfect Car Fax report driven by some lady in her 30s. Was 24k but since I found their online classified I was able to get it down to about 19,700

A little off topic but anyone know why won't it let me create a thread in the private classifieds? I have various buying experience in here from the past, more than 50 posts, and joined over a year ago. Can anyone help out on that?

Nice pickup. I loved my S2000 when I had it. Might not be the fastest car on the block but it's tons of fun!

There's more to life than straight line acceleration. I've missed my S ever since I sold it.

It has nothing to do with straight line acceleration. The complete lack of torque of the S2000 makes around town driving pathetic. Sure you can keep the rev's up above 5K, but seriously that's not going to fly unless you wanted get popped by the cops.
