Well last night I was driving to the movie's in my girlfriends eclipse when all of a sudden I was attacked by a RICE ENTOURAGE! Probably about 6-7 absolutely stupid looking civic's and golf's. Complete with gigantic wings, 4" exhausts and underglow lighting. I couldn't believe these clowns driving past me revving their engines. If only I had a camera that would work at night...

Shortly after the rice patrol passed me, I encountered a 2008(?) Mustang GT... Dear god it sounded amazing. It made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. After driving beside me for a little bit he took off after the rice patrol.

After hearing a mustang GT with a nice exhaust... It makes me want to go buy the new 5.0. V8 with exhaust is pure sex.

Either that or C6.

What do you guys think? Mustang GT 5.0 on the horizon? Insane numbers from factory, and I imagine takes well to mods.

I don't see any reason not to get the 2011 Mustang GT when it comes out. Big power, promising engine, great handling, and it'll certainly sound amazing with the right exhaust.

Holy Crap +++++++++++++1 The new 5.0 will be a hoss, if I was a little older and a little more mature I would trade the Evo in on one of these things!

I see where the confusion was... I was trying to say I was driving my GF's eclipse. Quite possibley the slowest thing on the planet.

 

Woo-Hoo mustang 5.slooow. Lets hope Ford finally gives the base model some ponies and maybe will finally make it handle.

 

V-6 is going to have about 300. Early numbers show the 5.0 dynoing at 435whp, but I don't think they all will be THAT strong. When they first released the '05 (new body style) the ones they sent MT and R&T were ringers. They were getting 13.1-13.4 1/4 mile times. After testing some more they found out they were more like 13.9-14.1 1/4 mile cars.

 

They are not dynoing 435whp....a GT500 barely does that. They are only 412hp CRANK in stock form so not sure where you are getting your numbers from. What I have seen on other forums/reviews high 370-390whp seem to be the current numbers. Not bad though imo....considering the 6.2 LS3 is doing right around the same or just a tad higher with the extra displacement.

 

Nice beautiful car the Mustang but its needs a LOT of stuff in order to make decent times at the 1/4 miles, which is an all American game!

I am sorry but i wouldn't spend the money just for the sound!

 

The new 'Stang 5.0 motor is pretty hot, but not at the current gas prices (and rising).

 

It gets just as good mileage as the evo if not better lol
