possible spun bearing?

this is a video of my friends tsi, he got a cyclone 4g63 put in and it was running like crap, then he noticed the timing belt was starting to strip and now it sounds like so..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ip-uuQNIDjM

Could it be a spun bearing? if so what could we do to confirm it. or what else could it be?>

yea its bad, is there a way to check for a spun bearing>? the shop wanted 600 bucks to check, but maybe we can do it ourselves. It sucks because he barely put that motor in, if the timing was off could it cause it to spin a bearing?

Maybe he can find a g64 bock and put it on, it will be cheaper and keep it reliable at about 10psi

You can remove the oil pan and look too see if any metal shavings are in there and if any of the rod or main bearings or spun.

^^What he said. Check for shavings, pieces of bearings etc. If you are taking it to a shop it better be for a engine swap because it sounds totally effed.

Ouch!!! Dude you deff have a big problem there...well its either something is banging all over the inside of your motor or you got one big F'n Rod knock going on inside. Put the car on jack stands and please drain oil first, and than pull oil pan off. If you see many shavings of metal on the bottom of the oil pan, than you might have a big problem which means spun bearing and damage to crank. Check each rod very carefully and take your time. Post up some pix

Yeah the 64 block will attach to the 63 head, be sure to take the top end apart and check for any damage as well. No telling where metal shavings have ended up.
