i want an fd rx7, i have been looking around for one..whats your take on them??

It takes a lot of work to maintain them, along with the fact that the knowledge base on rotaries is smaller than piston engines. However, I can say from experience that the rx-7 is light and super fun and can be turned into a monster.

Wow. Thats amazing. You have had three of my favorite cars in the world. I love the 300zx and fd rx-7 and my all time favorite car on earth is a supra. I'd do anything for that car.

looks amaing, yea looking at fd's as well, but just a shell as i want to ls3 swap it.

The FD is the best RX7 made. The other RX7/8 are far from a super car. The chassis and trans are rock solid from the factory. The only thing is that there is no one in the U.S. that can tune a rotary properly. This is why you see/hear so much catastrophic engine failures on the net..

Actually there are people that are able to tune rotary engines in the US, you can find them on the RX7 forums. I personally know a bunch of people that can tune a rotary engine, but here in Montreal!!

But you are right, the people that are able to is only a handfull, unlike tuning for piston engines.

Tuned mine and it ran great for 30k with 330 at the wheels.
