Nope even 2012 owners are reporting the same issues. Job 2 builds (your car) have revised bolts for the pressure plates (early cars had the pressure plate bolts back out) which eliminates some of the early issues but the transmissions are still hit and miss.

Had not heard of 12 owners yet.

TSB and yes. Clutch pedal replacement and doing new clutches on some others.

The only TSB is for cold shifting issues and their fix is to put in the fluid from their dual clutch transmission which has been reported by some to work but some to cause major transmission whine and the same or worse shifting.

As for people with bad transmissions some have had theirs replaced to only have the replacement transmission be worse than the first one. One fella is going in to have a 3rd transmission installed. Right now nobody knows if Ford has even diagnosed the problem as I said before it's so hit and miss. Lots of people claim their transmissions shift like butter but there are people getting delivery of new 2012's are reporting 2nd gear grind after a week of ownership. Mine's been smooth so far but I haven't had the car that long so it's in the back of my mind. As great as this car is it's definatelly not as solid mechanically as the EVO.

Yeah the clutch pedal issues were really early and corrected on new cars after that. I don't spend any time in the V6 forums but I know both cars use the same transmission and it seems the problems don't seem to be as pronounced with V6 owners.

The V6 owners are too dainty and weak to shift fast or hard enough to notice an issue.

Your asking this on an evo forum. Majority will probably say evo. Go on a stang forum and tgey'll say mustang. My .02 is, mustangs are EVEYWHERE and lose value rather quickly (even more than evos), its all up to you. If you cant decide for yourself, then just get a stang an blend in. Good Luck!

I would buy the evo just off the pure fact that the mustang is less nimble

Lose their value? Ah, KBB has mine valued for more than I owe already. Used 8s are going for 10k range already. About the same as a 03-05 ranged Mustang. And all depends which crowd you want to "blend" in with. Evo 8/9 is quickly going hella-flush ricer yo.

X I drove did not feel shockingly nimble. I have not AX/Tracked the X yet.

I wouldn’t understand how a FR Live Rear Axel setup would compare to an AWD systems with AYC, ACD, three LSD’s with viscously electronically controlled locking mechanisms to deal with three levels of ground + weather conditions. The biggest different would be on any corner exit, the Mustang would not be able to put the power down coming out of a turn unless you plan on steering with the throttle.

DD use here. X felt like a car. All the extra parts were just extra parts.

Now on the track/AX -- yeah AWD can sling-shot you out of a corner. And I throttle steer all the time. I've gotten really comfortable doing that over the years (not platform dependent).
